Smoothie Freezer Bags

Do you rush in the morning to get out the door? Do you need a breakfast that is fast but healthy? Smoothie Freezer Bags are for YOU!

Smoothies are very popular in our home. You can add so many yummy and healthy things to a smoothie to either start the day or enjoy a cool drink in the afternoon. Now that we have access to local fresh fruit making Smoothie Freezer Bags is a great option to prepare for winter. Yuk, I know ... I said 'winter'!

Have you ever considered putting all your favourite types of fruit for your daily smoothies into one bag? Rather than hauling out 3 or 4 separate bags of fruit each morning, why not make life simple? Make Smoothie Freezer Bags with all your 'go to fruit' in one bag! The other bonus is you can add fruit that is becoming too ripe so it does not go to waste as well. Limiting food waste is so important and saves you money too.

FREEZER SMOOTHIE BAGS

What is in our favourite smoothie bag? Let me tell you! We add strawberries, pineapple or pineapple cubes (check out the information below) and frozen blueberries. You can add whatever you like to smoothie bags. Make a few different options that make your morning routine easier and more efficient. You can even sneak in a little bit of spinach to add some extra fiber, vitamins and minerals. Your children will not even notice. Smoothies are a great place to hide some extra greens and are super delicious!

Supporting local farmers is so important in today's economy. The next time you see a farmers market grab a few extra containers of your favourite fruits and create your own Freezer Smoothie Bags. If you have a garden of your own this is a great way to store some extra fruit for winter as well.

Do You Have Left Over Crushed Pineapple?

Do you ever have left over crushed pineapple? I often use crushed pineapple when baking muffins but there is always some left. I needed an idea to use it up because the leftovers never get eaten if I leave them in the refrigerator!

💡 I came up with the idea to freeze the leftover crushed pineapple in an ice cube tray. Once the pineapple had frozen I then transferred the cubes to a freezer bag. It worked great! I now use these cubes to add to smoothies. These cubes are the perfect size!
