Banana Bread
Banana bread is the perfect way to use up all those over ripe bananas. If you don't have time to bake with over ripe bananas just freeze them until you can bake some banana bread. Banana bread is a great way to start baking if you are just learning too!
In a bowl mix:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of sea salt
Mix until blended.
In a separate bowl mix:
3 large bananas - mash until well blended
1/4 melted butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup applesauce
Mix until blended.
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix until blended. Line a loaf pan (8x4) with parchment paper. Add the mixture to the parchment lined loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 55-60 minutes or until your tester comes out clean. Allow bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes after removing from the oven. Then remove the bread from the pan and transfer to a cooling rack to allow to cool completely. Enjoy!
