It sure will be! Everyone has to start somewhere!
For many years my garden has been a small flower bed beside our home as well as a few containers on our deck. That was what I had time for. I always wanted a bigger garden but I knew my limits. This year we are expanding our garden. It looks overwhelming but you just need to take it one day at a time. If you are new to gardening start with what you can manage. The options are endless! It might be a small raised bed, a few containers on your patio/balcony or even a small garden in your yard.
COVID has caused many people some terrible hardships this past year. The experience has also provided some people time to reflect on what is truly valuable in their lives. Some people have had the opportunity to learn new skills and try new things. Trying new things can be extremely rewarding. Many people have taken the opportunity to learn how to grow some of their own food.
Remember your garden is not going to look like something you would see on Pinterest or the same as a garden that is cared for by someone who has been gardening for many years. Every year your garden will get better and better. Each year you learn new things about the vegetables you are growing, the soil type you have and the critters that may be trying to enjoy your delicious produce. Some things you try to grow will be an epic fail! This year I will be attempting to grow pumpkins for the third time. I have never been successful at this before. Wish me luck!!
You may find growing some of your own vegetables quite rewarding. Spending time in your garden is a time you can rest your mind and enjoy the sounds of nature.
Now all you need to do is just start! Where are you going to plant your garden?
